£200 grants for people affected by leukaemia once again available

Leukaemia UK and Leukaemia Care have this month relaunched the ‘Cost of Living Fund’, providing financial grants of £200 to patients with leukaemia, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) or myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), whose lives have been impacted by the ongoing cost of living crisis.

Applications are open now for grants of up to £200 provided by the Leukaemia UK and Leukaemia Care ‘Cost of Living Fund’. Over £168,000 was given to families affected by leukaemia, MDS or an MPN in 2022. Together, Leukaemia UK and Leukaemia Care hope that the relaunch of this fund will provide much-needed support during one of the most difficult times of a person’s life.

Fiona Hazell, Chief Executive of Leukaemia UK, said:

“The relaunch of the Cost of Living with Leukaemia Fund will help to improve the lives of more people across the UK living with leukaemia. The emotional and physical challenges of leukaemia are profound, and the diagnosis often brings additional financial pressures during what is already one of the most difficult times of a person’s life. The Cost of Living with Leukaemia Fund will make a tangible difference to their lives, and we are very grateful to our supporters for making this relaunch possible.”
